Founded in 2002 by Paul Dubrule, co-founder of the Accor group, the Paul Dubrule Hotel and Tourism School (EHT) is now a leading institution for hotel professional training in Cambodia. Training approximately 300 students each year—30% of whom receive scholarships—it has produced over 4,750 graduates active in the local and international tourism industry.

History, Mission, and Governance

Inspiring Foundation

Paul Dubrule inaugurated the school in 2002, after cycling some 15,000 km between Fontainebleau and Siem Reap to mark the launch.

A firm social mission

Run by the NGO Formation & Progrès-Cambodge , the school aims to offer disadvantaged young people quality training in the hotel industry, thus promoting their social and professional integration.

Recognized by UNESCO as a UNEVOC center, the EHT strengthens its international influence in the field of vocal and technical training.

Direction and leadership

  • François Schnoebelen has been the Executive Director of the school since September 2022. A former philosophy professor and expert in HR and IT, he instills an innovative pedagogy focused on student autonomy, confidence, and soft skills.

  • Éléonore Mueth-Dubrule is now the chairwoman of the board of directors.
  • Céleste Mueth-Dubrule has been confirmed as Communication & Projects Manager within the UNESCO-UNEVOC network.

Qualifying and innovative training courses

The school offers five ASEAN-certified programs (10 months full-time) in culinary arts, pastry, reception, hotel service, and travel agencies, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management (DHM) co-developed with the École Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL).

Flipped classroom learning, an emphasis on relational skills, and student empowerment in campus projects (garden, club, eco-committee) are at the heart of the educational approach.

The institution is on track to become the first hotel vocational training school in the world to obtain Green Key EcoCampus certification , affirming its leadership in sustainable training.

Led by an eco-committee made up of more than 70% students, the initiatives include waste management, a vegetable garden, energy reduction, climate awareness, and the selection of responsible suppliers.
